Last time Cold Regards played the Last Chance it was a heaving Wednesday night with Budhadatta. That was such a good time that we’re returning on a Thursday and inviting a bunch of friends to join us.
Don’t miss openers, the newest of bands, Gold Coast Leathers. It’s what the Cramps might sound like if Lux played guitar and Ivy picked up the mic. They wear matching jackets so they might be a gang. Look out!
Abselom are a “Three-piece Aboriginal led Alternative Rock/ Grunge band” that have quickly become a must-see. They make grunge sound exciting again! If Cold Regards are icy and detached, these guys bring the fire.
GRUPS play night music. They blend post-punk, and psychedelia into a groovy gumbo that you can imagine soundtracking a Morricone movie being projected in a dark laneway as part of an art project, at night, of course.
After that tonne of talent, Cold Regards will present our humble offerings. It’s casio-toned, it’s post-punky, it’s pretty goth. If you like moping around and dancing in equal measures, you might like our newbies. They’re fresh and so so mopey they’ll make you smile! See you there!
